Was surfing through Facebook and i saw a girl write on Aerial Diva's Facebook site, asking about the Christmas showcase about this year for Hoop Intermediate 2. I expressed my interest even though i wasn't a student this term and Aerial Diva's Facebook admin invited me for the Christmas showcase practice!
I called on the day of the practice and the receptionist told me to come in early as they might start early! Perfect! Went for practice and forced the routine into memory and here's my video!
Just 1.5hours of practice! I know i messed up and my legs arent the most elegant but hey i'm happy =) Love my hoop!
Also very thankful to have my Stephen attend and videotape it for me. Last year i asked another girl's mom to record it for me! LOL! I said thank you to Steve. He looked at me and said "It was hardly a chore" =)

Kelly Clarkson in Melbourne
I was interested in her concert but didnt buy tickets at first.
Ticketek.com, who sells tickets to concerts and other events in Australia, sends me reminder emails of upcoming concerts. S was next to me when i checked my email. Just making conversation, i told him that Kelly Clarkson was playing in Melbourne with The FrayS was interested in listening to Kelly Clarkson and he thought that catching them with The Fray was a bonus. Bought tickets without much hesitation =) I was surprised
I was a little grumpy that he made me super early for the concert. LOL! But when she actually hit the stage, she was so awesome i forgot about being grumpy and enjoyed the show!!! =)
S and I at our first concert =) We've already got our next concert tickets paid for and delivered, cant wait!

One Minute Freestyle Aerial Hoop Video!
Lately I am more confident than I used to be. More open to doing videos =)
Just pulled together a few moves and tricks I've learned in 3 terms (23 classes completed =) Surprised i managed to do a minute long video. Surprised I managed to pass each level on first attempt! Those extra Saturday practice classes do wonders!
Ten months ago I was in beginners and this was my videos from back then. Big improvement =) Loving the journey, definitely wanna perform more

Hello October
I do not want to give up blogging. Love it too much, the thought of giving up crossed my mind though =( Writing this with closing eyelids.
In May when the Australian Football (Footy) season started and the footy tipping (football betting) started at work, i decided then and there that i'm out of there by the end of the season. So i worked on my Chartered Accountancy qualification. Just needed the last bit to be done.
Took me a few pushes to get it all done and that was completed by the end of June Met my Stephen at the end of June and was on cloud nine pretty much all the time. Got side tracked and it took a good friend's nagging to get me sending out those job applications.
Funny how i met that friend through blogging. He's helped me a lot. And Stephen helped him buy football tickets when he went to the UK! =)
Beginning of August i met with some recruiters who were promising but didnt really help. I independently applied for jobs online and attended three interviews. Got two offers and picked one =)
Two weeks after i started, it was the Footy Grand Final. So i achieved my goal =)
Been there for three weeks now. No complains so far. People are nice. And we do stuff like regularly donate blood! I havent been donating blood since 2009!!! Am pleased to be doing it regularly =)
This week has been perfect... somewhat, i did make a stupid mistake on Tuesday morning. Monday Stephen and i went for Kelly Clarkson concert after work. Tuesday evening catch up with friends (D visited from Malaysia), Wednesday night i had hoop class and slept early. Thursday during lunch i donated blood and two days later i got my period. Perfect timing! =) Quiet and well deserved relaxing THurs and Fri evening. Sat morning i went for hoop practice, spent some time working on my volunteer work and in the evening attended this year's TalentCorp event (blogged about it last year).

Flying Trapeze
If a picture says a thousand words, would a video say a million?
About a year ago, i drew pictures to illustrate the activities i did. So much more time efficient to record and upload! =)
The first swing was just doing the knee hang. Second and third swing were the somersault, mine worked out beautifully both times!
My first catch didnt go so well though. Behold below the fail video!!
Looks ten times scarier than it felt!!! Did you hear the gasps from my classmates? I didnt hear it at all when i was on the trapeze, only realised the gasp when i watched the video! On the last try, i managed to do the catch!!! =)
Love it so much! Trust me I was shit scared before the first jump.

Hello September Spring
Begun Australian spring in style this September
It was a freezing day when we headed to the races but took off our jackets for a few pretty shots =) The wind was strong, my fascinator isn't quite right on my head. Oh well.
Inside, where its warm. Me holding my winning ticket. Bet $5 and lost, and then bet another $5 and won $9. So i lost $1 in the end!! Hahah!
Loads of pictures to post and I dont think i have even finish writing about last year's Spring Races! Not to mention i've never blogged about my white water rafting, have not finished Cambodia 2009. I've got a video to upload. Actually i have three videos to upload! Pole pictures yet to be posted.
So many other aspects of my life that i have to sort out first!

Aerial Fabrics
Took up the latest offering:
Aerial Hammocks course in Term Four.
The Swordfish (above). Felt soooo cool doing this one, love it!
The Stag (above). Only holding on by the arms. Because i've been doing Pole dance for almost year and a fair bit of aerial Hoop, this wasn't too bad for me.
The Pretzel. It's awesome. Not that difficult but painful in between the thighs!!!

Hello August
Time flies when u are having fun
S and i were spending some quality time together and he said that.
He added "I hope my life doesn't pass me by"
That statement really got to me, brought me near to tears.
I have a feeling in the gut that is exactly what's gonna happen.
There just isn't enough time to live life and write about it too

Boyfriend
Here's the reason why i haven't blogged much!
S's Canadian housemate brought him to a rock climbing Meet Up i organised. They were late, everyone else was already leaving, i decided to be a good Event Organiser and hung around to chat with the guys a little bit
We clicked. Went for dinner afterwards. He asked for my number
SMSes turned into two hour phone calls. Phone calls turned into dates =)
Good for each other, good to each other and good with each other.
He said to me, "You're perfect".
I said "You cant be serious"
He said "Perfect for me."
Last night we went to watch an Australian Footy match with some of his friends. It was at the MCG without the closed roof. It was raining and being Malaysian, even with three layers, i was freezing. He lent me his jacket =)
After the game, we had to walk to the train station. It was still raining, i kept his jacket on and had a sweater on my head because i didnt have a beanie or a hood. At one point, he took a step to the side, and looked at me from head to toe. Fondly, with a smile on his face, he commented "Your jacket is way too big, you have a top on your head..."
"...and you look really happy"

Oh My God, Pole Dance!
Love the way i started the one leg invert! It was the trick i struggled with terribly nine months ago! At the moment you can see me struggling with the handstand. In time i'll get there =)
Before the climb at the end, i was already out of breath! 100% focused and it was so rewarding seeing myself spin past the mirror. Concentrated hard on each trick and executed them step by step =)
Love my Princess and my Mermaid. So pretty! These are two tricks from Level 3 (Level 3 performance click Here). I've come a long way!
From another angle Can you spot me??
Big thank you to the four friends who came to watch me perform! =)

Event Organiser
The people who showed up in last week's meet up gave the event i created 5 star ratings! Yay!
Immediately told my parents (who didnt respond, they probably dont know what to say) and told a few friends.
Few days later a friend asked so how's Meet Up going? I proudly said i'm now Event Organiser! Friend asked if i get paid to do it. I said no and he said "So its fulfilment". That is exactly it =) I do some other volunteer work and it just doesnt feel the same
Spent Thursday night making this 'sign board' for the second Friday Rock Climbing Meet Up and emailing everyone a picture of it with a short note. Also told them i was gonna wear bright blue track pants. Hahah, most people didnt see the box but they found me anyway. Must be the pants! Heheh.
In summary, it was awesome! As stated on my Facebook "Never knew i would have a passion for being Event Organiser! Fulfilling =) The Egyptian Aussie and i started off first and then the Belarus girl joined us and also the guy from Bosnia who grew up here. When they left i hung out with the Canadian and the British =) I love Melbourne"
Had a super busy weekend too! Exactly the way i love it!

Hard Rock Nunawading
Me!
You drive me up the wall =P
My climbing buddy LF doing her thing, while the girl in purple yours truly belays her
Belaying is the safety thing
We saw this low wall area and thought it was for kids
But if you actually read it, it says
"Strictly 15 years and over!"
We didnt know what to do until this Asian chick came over and said the green one is an easy one to start with, she even showed us how. She was awesome!
Me attempting to imitate her
She gets past this but i dont.
I fall
And i laugh it off
LF's boyfriend does much better than the girls, he gets up one stone higher than us
Fit LF in pink, she's definitely better than me at this!
Watched other climbers a bit
Thats the Asian girl who gave us a tutorial, and her boyfriend/husband/friend?
Watching over her protectively, coaching, guiding her.
Delicious, i want someone to love me like that!!!!
And i want someone to photograph us like that!
J on the left and me on the right.
That's the Nunawading 'gym' as they call it
The X marks the top i reached =)
Read signs that said the gym in Nunawading had Friday night specials, after 5pm it is only $12 for entry instead of the normal $18. Nunawading is just a stone's throw away from my work place while the city is a good 30km from work and it's also 30km from city to home (think of a triangle).
It takes me one and a half hours to get to the city from work (think peak hour traffic to the train station and then a train ride in to the city). I really love my climbing buddy LF but rationally it makes little sense for me to travel all the way to the city on a Friday night AND pay normal price entry to the gym in the city right?
LF works in the city.
So what do u you? Use MeetUp.com
They should pay me for blogging about them all the time!
Had my third climb tonight with a group i met off the net!!
Papa, dont worry, i came back alive!
And i was the organiser of this one!
I accidentally became the organiser of my second Meet Up! How? I noted that there lacked Meet Ups in Nunawading, always effing far far away in the city, so i stood up and took the spot. Came naturally, had this instinct to make sure everyone who RSVP yes met up
But very fulfilling. Happy!
Totally forgot about the shocking week i had at work
Found out from the German girl that these low rocks are called bouldering! =)

Aging
I think i'm like wine. So far, i get better as i get older.
Once upon a time I used to be hiding in my best friend's shadow. Always the quiet girl in school.
I feel that i grew a lot after i turned 18. Confidence. Independence. Knowledge. Courage. Assertiveness. Strength.
Outfit of the day + white bubble jacket with fur trim. No make up, was running late and left my phone at home! And i had one of the best days =)
Proud that i can attend a party and have loads of fun. Once upon a time i wasn't able to do that. Believe me. I've come a long long way! I mingled, i was never good at it in the past. I danced, another thing i can never do outside a classroom =)
Also proud that i am able to convey a message to a close friend in a calm and steady tone, to get the message across without accusing. Chose the right words. I felt that what happened was wrong, i had to say it, no one was saying it, i couldnt keep it in and dont ask me how but once again, i surprised myself, i did it a nice way!

Meet Up
The very first friend i made in university now lives in Hong Kong, when she came to visit me (on work travel), she told me about this site called Meet Up, a website for people with common interest to meet up in big groups. Went for my first Meet Up today with Melbourne Young Professionals!
1000 Steps in Dandenong Ranges. I've been there before, its a hike up lots of stairs and then down a path. The first time i took a dozen breaks! This time i'm much better with just a couple of short stops! =)
Felt pretty much like my backpacking days, where u make 5 minute friends. Just chit chat small talk and then bye! Got along really well with a girl from Alaska who just moved here 2 months ago =)
My favourite moment was having coffee with some of them, the Alaska girl made a reference to the Energizer Bunny, an old advertisement and she was worried that we have never heard of it. Everyone knew it, the true Aussie girl, the Malaysian turned Australian Permanent resident me, the British guy and the Alaska girl's Spanish boyfriend!
Reminds me of that day backpacking in Vietnam two years ago, where i had breakfast with a Swedish medical couple... lunch with them again and a couple of French guys... dinner with a group of Australian retirees.... and supper with a group of Italians!
