Fit Pole

To me, YOGA's BORING. Pole dancing's the way to go!

Thanks to a colleague who dragged me into something, which led me to re-meet she who invited me to go for classes at VivaVertical with other colleagues via Facebook (with the title of the message: There's nothing like a good stick between your thighs)

Prior to that i never hung out with them, but after a few classes together, these girls and i are pretty ok! =) Just went out in a group on Sat (and i introduced them to E =)

It's called the Pole Sit

In October all my colleagues stopped the class =( I joined another class and met KS who was even more addicted to pole than me. She's a management consultant in a very reputable firm! She's also joining pole with her colleagues! Haha.

So, u see, don't label all women in collar shirts and pencil skirts boring k? =P

A few weeks after the above picture, i could finally let go

Horrid angle cuz my phone's on timer on the floor. I have another pic with me trying to look at the cam but this one is better cuz u can see all the pain in my face in the other pic! Hahah

Ignore my fat thighs and u can see the muscles in my right arm! I don't know how many of my t-shirts have become too tight at the arms... i'm turning into the Hulk! Noooo

But this she-Hulk can still smile so sweetly ok?

HAHAHAHA, perasan but i love this picture la, the lighting, my eyes, my smile and the angle casts the illusion of a really thin Sue Lin

Omg. You won't believe it, but I actually wanted to take up pole dancing and was scouting around at one point. But then I watched some videos on YouTube and it looked so hard! I'm impressed you can sit and let go d! Go you!

ah, pole dancing.that move u pulled off looks difficult!

there's no fatwa on pole dancing right? I'm pretty sure there's no religious element to it. Reckon its the exercise all ex yoga practitioners should migrate to?

Joey u gave up looking for classes d? There should be some in Sheffield! Its not that hard! Just dun be scared of the pole, u won't fall, and just learn step by step!

Need to build upper body strength though... and get used to the pain in the thighs! Still not used to it!

Daniel, the one in the first picture was ok, letting go was harder!

Nope i dont think there is any fatwa. Really really pity the Muslim instructors if there are any! They'd be out of a job and restricted from doing what they love! So unfair to them

perhaps someday IF i had learnt pole dancing, i might find yoga is boring. =p Anyway, i've become lazy to practice yoga since I stop going for classes.

hehehe

V Lisa, haha, join join! Its really fun. Whenever we learn a new spin and can do it, very very happy wan. But as students, we are so ungraceful, but its ok, everyone in the class is the same except the teacher who's like a swan while the students are ugly ducklings!

Hey, Kat! Yeah, been taking classes since August =) In Desa Sri Hartamas, Talent Hub dance and drama school opposite Davi's Corner. They have other classes like latin, ballroom, hip hop etc.

Sue lin, yeah I found a few places, but after watching some videos, I think it's too hard la. I've like zero muscles and no strength watsoever. Really.

But I do so wanna take up some dance cos I need to exercise and I cannot do the gym. Belly dancing maybe?

Sue Lin said...

Joey u sure u dun wanna give it a try? Might get addicted =P

Re: Belly dancing, go for it! =) I'd like to but paying for gym and pole is already one big chunk of my salary... not to mention the no time factor!

Keep me updated with what ur doing there k?! Will regularly check ur blog =)

Haha i really wanna get one Isya, but my house got no space! My room is tiny and i'm not like our teacher Nastacia, so daring put hers in the living room!

Hahah, maybe put in Elwyn's room, HAHAHAHAHAHA. Such a bad impression i'll give his mom
