Bye Credit Cards

Stupid 2010 Malaysian Government Budget. Not sure how it works exactly but there's gonna be a RM50 charge on credit card mainholders and RM25 on supplementary card holders

Supposed to curb spending. Hey, i dont that much okay? Two of these cards just sit in a drawer. And one has actually expired...

So pissed that i gotta pay an extra charge on my credit card ! ! ! ! ! They should let everyone have one or two credit cards free of charge. Tax charge on the third or more is reasonable

My goodness, it's gonna be the same for me.

Time for me to cancel unused credit cards... Darn....

Hey Adam and Daniel. Yeahhh gotta do that. I guess banks are gonna get lots of cancellation. I wonder if its a good or bad thing for them, hmmmm...

Dawn ur right. I only regularly use two of them. The rest sits in the drawer. Thats why i say it would have been a lot better if they allow everyone one or two cards.

Its essential, i mean... if u wanna go buy furniture or televisions u cant be bringing a thick envelop of cash right?

it actually good to keep credit cards especially when you don't use them. cause it'll be useful when one day, you decide to apply for a bank loan. they'll see that you have a gazillion credit cards and no debt which makes you a good paymaster :)

but too bad. bye bye cards.

sue lin, please stop blogging and do your assignment :p

VLisa but they get to clear up all those credit cards that arent used... so its like, less maintainance?

Isya yeah exactly! I was just thinking of applying for a lot more. Cant do that now. My mom says one is enough to establish a good credit rating...

Aiya... u blogged too! =P

hmm true also la. but not planning to buy bigs stuffs just yet :p

Hahha, just yet. And people tend to buy phones and laptops by cash...

Just to confirm, one card is enough to earn credit rating points.

It's highly unlikely that banks will absorb the RM50/25 tax as it will amount to a significant expense. This is not a new thing. They used to have a tax on credit cards but it was scrapped and now its back. Just like the RPGT (real property gains tax). Old taxes making a comeback.

We have to thank the excessive government spending for all these taxes. Think submarine and distribution of free RM10K amanah saham to the poor.

I always wonder if Selat Melaka/Tebrau is deep enough for the submarine to stay submerged or undetected... Haha...

Oh wait, we still have the South China Sea... One more question, so who are we gonna fight/defend ourselves from? Which high tech enemies do we need to fight with and for what reasons? Urm... I'll leave u with that to ponder! Haha...

Malaysia vs Singapore~!

Ooo thanks Xiao Gwei! I also saw in the papers that its unlikely that the banks will be able to absorb the service tax as it amounts to 555million. Also that the tax existed in 1997-2001 then was abolished and reimplemented.

Haih, our gov spend on a lot of things that doesnt benefit the rakyat la, after my handbag kena snatched i was pissed to later see in the newspapers that they bought new bikes for ESCORT police! Aiyo... i wanted to cry mannnn
