Our record breaker. In our 5.5years together, we have never been physically apart for more than 2 weeks
Our room! Bestfriend n i shared the double bed and Russian took the top bunk. Bestfriend n i went to take our morning shower while Russian stayed in the room to look after our stuff. See the dark blue pillow with the sun in the first pic? When we got back Russian was leaning on it when i got back to the room, i asked "What are u doing?"
He replied "Waiting for u..."
"Cuz it takes forever for u girls to take a shower", then he got up to go to the toilet. Hahahha! Joker
Soon Bestfriend came back to the room and we took these pictures.

Outside our room, had to charge camera batteries outside.
Our room underground has no windows, obviously, just one ventilation fan. We had no sense of time in that room, didnt know if its bright outside and overslept.

Checkout times in Australian backpackers places is at 10am. Other guests made a move quickly after checking out, many of the cars in the parking drove away. We hung out a bit.
Souvenier shop. Russian paid for internet to go on Facebook and to email his mom. He also called up the car rental company about our accident

Thankfully paranoid Bestfriend insisted we take insurance so we were fully covered. The car rental people simply told us to get the car exchanged in Alice Springs

Thats Coober Pedy, it looks really empty, the town is tiny, really tiny, you can drive from one end to the other in less than 10minutes!
When we were getting directions from this petrol station at night when we arrived, the guy was like "Go straight all the way till u reach the roundabout, go straight down and Radeka's will be on your left." He made it sound like such a long distance but to us it was VERY close by!
Searched for food and look what we found. A Chinese restaurant in the middle of the desert! Everything was closed in the morning so we checked it out. Friendly Russian went to spoke to the owner in Mandarin! She was shocked and had trouble understanding his accent at first. Hahhaah
While eating my sandwich i wandered into the shop and the friendly owner told me that opals are his hobby, and started telling me about opals, doesnt matter if i am not buying anything 
Shortly after that, we were on our way
The friendly uncle who sells those delicious sinful curry puffs used to drive an old green wira. He upgraded to a nice new shiny car. I wonder why... Dont underestimate 80cents per piece. It goes a long way!
Russian drove first, then me, then Bestfriend. It was actually a very fun drive. Aussie roads are interesting! The forest on both sides were scenic and it was entertaining listening to the stories of someone who has been travelling for a whole year!
The trick to night driving, i learnt from E, was to find another vehicle to follow. The road from Melb to Adelaide was full of huge trucks called road trains. I stalked them, they lighted up my way. We called it a night at 3am.
Didnt know the inn we stayed in was Handorf, a pretty little German settlement (Melbourne to Hahndorf: 715km)
We had pies for breakfast and strolled along the autumn streets. Really cute and quaint. Out of the blue, an unknowned number called me and it turned out to be my old school friend, AZ! So i asked the group if we could stop by Adelaide
Me, Russian and Bestfriend. We call him that cuz he is Russian. Hahah! In Randall Mall, Adelaide, waiting for AZ to come find us. To me... Adelaide feels like Sydney, it has a different feel from Melbourne, would have been nice to go shopping
Had a good walk down memory lane with dear AZ whom i havent seen since... 2004 (not counting our meet up in Jan 2010). Shortly after, we decided to make a move, hey, its a long way to Uluru, the main destination of the trip.
I drove us out of Adelaide's congested pre-Good Friday traffic jam, then when bestfriend took over the drive, i sat in the backseat and took pictures. Somewhere between Adelaide and Port Augusta.
On the backseat lies the Bible (thats what we call the Lonely Planet), our jackets, the girls' handbags and a Coles supermarket plastic bag of bread and processed meat. Gosh, that was the beginning of my no rice diet that lasted 7 days

Drove and drove and drove until the sun was low in the horizon, bought some alcohol in Port Augusta and drove somemore. We kept each other company with chatter and laughter 
I did have to send them threatening smses to harass these professionals into coming to my farewell. Hahahha! None of the guys showed up so it was a girls night out
PY and i, loved our AT times and lunches together. Only worked with her for a day. Worked till 3am, it was a mad life we led
WY, she was also there working with PY and i till 3am on 15/1/2010, i will never forget that night! After the Away Day, WY and i became good friends over Facebook =) Other colleagues were shocked we're close
I've mentioned before that i love meeting many people in audit. I think i only worked with her for less than a week in 2008 but we pour our hearts out to each other
My roomie wayyyy back in Port Dickson! We email and call each other from time to time =) Hope i am able to keep it up

One of my beloved school till work bestfriends MY, i felt so sad seeing her sad as i left the firm. JY from university (but we were just acquiantances), photogenic YH and fashionable AL. Going to miss all of them
Too bad fellow Blogger Isya couldnt make it. Such a shame that her Suju concert fell on the same night as my farewell, we didnt get to do a proper goodbye =(
